This website is published in English. Website is full of news and tools for counteracting Land Grabbing, social injustice and human rights violations. The website is an institutional tool of Hands on the land that is a group of NGO, peasant and social movements. The NGO promotes a small-scale agriculture system because just in this case people can provide to their family and community. In this website, you can find news regarding good practices in agriculture, but also regarding large-scale investments that they damage human rights. An archive provides the previous publications. Hands on the land website is specialized in land, agricultural and human rights connected to land. The authors are NGO exponents or common people that live and work in an agricultural environment. Therefore, we consider the website trustworthy even though up to now we did have any direct experience of collaboration (Andrea Lanari).

Who we are

Hands on the Land for Food Sovereignty is a collective campaign by 16 partners. It includes peasants and social movements, development and environmental NGO, human rights organizations and research activists. We aim to raise awareness on the use and governance of land, water and other natural resources and its effects on the realization of the right to food and food sovereignty.

Through evidence-based research and material, public events and meetings, trainings, education and advocacy work, the campaign engages EU citizens, media, journalists, NGO practitioners, social activists, educators, students, politicians, policy and decision makers to take action for food sovereignty.
